    Great new patient experience. Being able to put my headphones in while in the chair made it go by quicker. All the staff were very nice and polite. I appreciated their approach to transparent billing and what would or wouldn’t be covered by insurance before going ahead with the service and letting you choose if/when you wanted to do it or not.

    Had a new patient appointment today, spent 90 minutes there & left without a cleaning. But they charged my insurance $450ish dollars today. They recommended a deep cleaning which will cost up to $1,500, then recommended 3-4 month regular cleanings until the dentist can “build trust” that I’m doing everything I can to take care of my teeth. That recommendation was based off of a xray that’s almost 12 months old, with little insight into my dental history.. Without so much as an open discussion with the dentist, she started telling me I have gum disease. That was extremely off-putting, the entire delivery of that information almost had me in tears. Then when she does an actual examination, she says everything looks good?? Honestly the whole appointment threw me for a loop, the hygienist was kind however took an hour to do 2 scans [each only actually taking 3-5 minutes] & examine my teeth. Part of me thinks they saw my insurance & immediately wanted to take advantage of- one of the scans was to see if I had an overbite, although I had no complaints of this.. The only reason I’m not wanting to give zero stars is because she was kind, understanding & could sense the distress after the dentist left. IF I do end up going back to the practice, I’ll never be seeing Dr. Holub again.

    Had to go back for a broken crown on my molar. It was under warranty and they got me in on a short notice and put in a replacement crown for free. I highly recommend them for their friendliness, professionalism and their great work.

    Wynkoop Dental is a wonderful place to receive dental care. They have been so gracious to me over the years. As a disabled Army veteran who lives on a limited budget, I have received free dental care on the annual Freedom Day events. It has truly saved me money and the service has been excellent. The staff has always been very kind and accommodating. For those who live in downtown Denver and in the surrounding area, consider receiving your dental care with Wynkoop.

    Honestly the dental care is fantastic but not worth the hassle for when their office team over charges you. It’s been 2 months and 4 phone calls later and I still haven’t been refunded for when they convinced me to pay for a retainer that we weren’t sure was going to be ordered. I’ve talked to 4 different staff members and each one tells me I’ve been refunded and yet I have not been refunded yet. For this alone, I won’t ever go back. I’m giving 2 stars because the dental staff here really is wonderful despite the office staff being less so. Update: about 2.5 weeks after this review their office staff did resolve the billing issue and refunded me my balance due. I still won’t go back based on the comment that their staff left under this comment after its original posting and for how unnecessarily complicated this whole process was. This said, their practice recently lost a dental team member due to an aggressive cancer and the support you could see coming from this practice was truly heart warming. Despite my bad experience, I think it was most likely an isolated incident with some staffing turnover challenges mixed in. I’ve raised my star rating because my heart goes out to their community right now, knowing this is a difficult time.
