I feel more confident when Dr. Mendoza does my dental work. Shirley is an excellent assistant Equipment seems very modern. Receptionist seems very pushy in making sure payments are made.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Alex Mendoza and his entire team for your dental care. I get very nervous about dental work, but Dr. Alex carefully and thoughtfully helped me through a complex procedure involving removing two crowns and treating cavities underneath. He was excellent about listening to my concerns and choosing the best option to keep my Invisalign treatment on track. He made me feel completely comfortable, even the injections were smooth and painless! Whether it's a major procedure or just a general checkup, you will be in good hands.

I was a patient at Japantown Dental for about a year or two (which, in insurance talk, equates to 2-4 visits), until only recently due to a change of insurance. As a DTSJ resident, the location is prime! The service was also wonderful - I always appreciated how thorough, yet gentle, they were at each visit. the doctor has a very warm personality - surely taking and review notes before/after each visit - he goes the extra mile to remember your name, what you mentioned your summer plans were at your last visit, etc. I definitely recommend Japantown Dental, and would continue to be a patient here if not for my change of insurance

First of all, I did a filling and they BURNed my lip. And when it happened, there was no apology from the dentist itself and the only response I got was that this is just minor burn and normal to get burnt during tooth cleaning. The attitude they have towards their patient is totally unacceptable, not to mention that it is absurd that my lips are burnt from cleaning. Secondly, the front desk lady was super unprofessional. I need to call twice to get my X-rays. And every time, when I say I need my X-ray, she just becomes impatient immediately and blamed me for that. I have never seen a dental clinic that is both rude and poor at the routine work. If you are considering your next dentist, think twice and don’t make the decision that will forces you to find another dentist in four months.
