I was hoping to find a dentist closer so I branched out and made an appointment with the Mabry Dental office. I went in hopeful and ready to have a good experience but it was anything but. In early July, I had the misfortune of having a routine dental appointment with Dr.Kemp. I am someone who has not had dental issues and have always just maintained the 6 month cleanings. No issues, no cavities, just general check ups and cleanings every 6 months. But this dental appointment was like nothing I had ever experienced. Dr.Kemp was a complete alarmist. She insisted that I needed a night guard, even though there wasn't any evidence of grinding my teeth, she told my daughter that she needed her wisdom teeth out even though she had just had them removed 5 months prior, and the cherry on top was that she told me that I had 5 CAVITIES!! I was shocked because I have never had a cavity. I explained to her that I wasn't feeling any pain in my mouth at all and asked her to show me the cavities. Her response was, "well I can see them on the xrays and Dr.Mabry agrees". The dental office was eager to make the appointments to have these "cavities" taken care of. Luckily I went with my gut and left without making any follow up appointment to have dental work done here. I waited 5 months, and still with no pain and no evidence of cavities in my mouth, I returned to my regular dentist. She thoroughly examined my teeth, took additional xrays, and also compared my new xrays with xrays from 2 years ago She shared with me that I actually have NO CAVITIES, and that there haven't been any changes in my mouth over the past 2 years to indicate any decay. I caution anyone who is considering this dental group. Please get a second opinion before agreeing to have any work done to your mouth!

I was honestly looking forward to coming here as I was referred by endodontist Vivian Lee, came highly recommended. But after speaking with the front desk lady this afternoon, I changed my mind. She was impatient with my questions and sounded annoyed. As someone that’s never had anything other than dental cleanings done, receptionist was anything but professional. I had honest questions but unfortunately she was fed up with my concerns. She even suggested that I see someone that can see me sooner since a crown takes 3 weeks after consultation.

I’m quite satisfied with my experience with Dr. Mabry and his staff. I’ve had everything from routine cleanings to root canals and crowns. Dr. Mabry has excellent rapport with his patients. The office is run very smoothly and the Office Manager is quite helpful with insurance questions. I’ve had a couple emergencies and again, they were handled very smoothly. Treatment appointments might be few and far between, but I’ve had very good experience with being on the wait list and getting in early. It’s not unusual to hear laughter coming from one of the other treatment areas. This practice is humming.

I had work done because Dr. Mabry told me I needed it. I had not had any pain, discomfort or problems. I started having pain immediately after he worked on my tooth. When I went back, he was visibly annoyed from the minute I walked into the room. He was rude, dismissive of the pain I was having, and repeatedly snapped at me throughout the appointment. When he began to work, it was causing me pain and he exhibited a complete lack of empathy. He seemed exasperated with me for complaining of pain. I have never in my life met a medical professional with so little control of his emotions and who behaved so unprofessionally.
