I was incredibly disappointed in my experience at West Dentistry. I’m a resident in the neighborhood where they are located, and had been looking forward to receiving care from them for some time. From the moment I entered the building, neither of the staff even looked up to acknowledge me, nor did they greet me. I even ensured the door was shut fully, which made a somewhat loud noise, and they still did not acknowledge me. The reception area was empty, and my footsteps echoed pretty loudly, as well. I stood at the front desk for a very long moment, and had to speak to them first to even be acknowledged. They never once smiled at me. I’m used to being treated with kindness, warmth, and respect most places that I do business in— but at West Dentistry, they looked at me as if I were white trash. I had to go home and give myself a pep talk after dealing with them, and ended up having a long talk with my partner because of how bad I felt from this whole experience. I went in for a consultation about an issue that I already have a lot of anxiety and self image issues over, so I was already feeling vulnerable going to a new dentist for this specific issue, and it’s also a scenario that is a bit complicated, and not cut and dry. I asked Dr. West multiple times for some kind of reassurance, and she held to being vague and flat in regards to my questions. I did not feel any “warmth” or “family” type of energy from this team, as I have read in other reviews (another reason why I was so excited to be seen by the team at West Dentistry). The only positives I will say is that their facility is very clean, and that Dr. West shook my hand upon greeting me, but that was about as warm as it got for this entire visit. When discussing my “options” for treatment for my incisor that had trauma from an auto accident, I wasn’t given any options at all. I was given a single route of treatment. It was “Well, if you’re going to come to me, this is the only thing that I’ll do. If you don’t want to do this, you can’t get treatment from me.” My tooth is still pretty healthy, yet Dr. West’s immediate desired course of action, without x rays, was to shave down both of my front incisors (my right one being completely healthy) to install very expensive crowns. When I asked for other options, and clearly displaying how freaked out by that process I was, I was basically met with a brick wall in regards to options and zero compassion. Toward the end of my visit, I was rushed in my departure from Dr. West, and was discussing the process for receiving a quote for the options we talked about in my consultation with one of the front desk receptionist, who also had been a long time dental assistant of Dr. West, so she wasn’t new. She explained that she would call my insurance to see about potential coverage (I thought that was nice), and that she would email me over a quote for services within a few days. I was patient. Now? It’s been 3 weeks. So, on top of the way I was treated during my visit, they don’t even have enough respect to follow through with a simple email. I was still maybe considering receiving services from them, which would have been thousands of dollars worth out of my own pocket, but again, they can’t even send me an email, so why would I want to do business with them? So, I will be going to another provider for services. I absolutely love supporting and referring local businesses, especially women owned businesses, but I won’t ever recommend West Dentistry to anyone, sadly.

Holly was awesome. Everyone there is very professional and caring. It’s like a family. Excellent dental care, I’m a new patient and got x-rays and a deep cleaning. They number my mouth so that it was completely painless:)

Dr. West and her staff are excellent and I'm so glad to have chosen them. They have state of the art equipment and have gone beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this dental practice.

Love the staff here! I’ve been going to West Dentistry for over 10 years now and they are absolutely amazing, professional and truly care about you and your oral hygiene. I am self pay and they have always explained the cost and what is involved with any procedure. I can now smile in public without hesitation, thanks to West Dentistry!

I had been considering something more permanent (like vaneers) for my front chipped & bonded teeth for about 10-15 years. I had gotten evaluations from several dentists over the years, but no one was as thorough and confident and made me feel as comfortable as Dr. West and her staff, and she was the first dentist to recommend crowns INSTEAD OF vaneers and help me understand the difference. With 20+ years of experience, I knew I was in good hands with Dr. West. I really appreciated the care and attention to detail provided by everyone in this office from my very first FREE consultation. Everyone made me feel reassured and answered all of my (many!) questions about the crown placement and healing process. During the 2-hour tooth prep and temporary crown placement procedure, Dr. West and her dental assistant, Cassie, kept me very well-informed every step of the way, worked together seamlessly, offered some humor to lighten a somewhat stressful experience (they are good at distraction!), and even provided a cozy blanket to help me relax. I was most nervous about the crowns looking unnatural and there being discoloration to my gums, especially after receiving laser gum contouring — and when my gums were still healing post-procedure, Dr. West and her staff continued to reassure and guide me with the best care. I am so incredibly pleased with the outcome and how wonderfully natural my teeth look. I would highly recommend West Dentistry!
