I can’t say enough good things about this office and staff. I started working with Kayla, a dental hygienist, and she is absolutely incredible! She’s kind, professional, knowledgeable, and you can tell she truly cares. Then I met and worked with Dr. Jennifer Brown and she echoes all those same experiences. Both of them made an uncomfortable situation a really pleasant experience. Even the staff at the receptionist desk is wonderful. Everyone seems to really enjoy working there and it shows. I know going to the dentist is not always the most comfortable thing for people to do, but this is one place where you can tell the staff really does care and they are in it for truly helping people. Exceptional service and care here and I HIGHLY recommend this place.

It was very high tech with lots of new state of the art equipment and tools. It was the first time I have been to a new dentist in 30 years and I was not prepared for this. The first visit was intense and long over 90 minutes for a cleaning. They did not want previous records as they create an entire new chart based on their findings. I have had regular dental care for 30 years and they were telling me everything that was wrong with my mouth that I’ve never heard of from bone loss to tartar buildup to fillings that were too old and was going to need to be replaced to say it was overwhelming and frightening is an understatement. All I came in for was a cleaning and now they’re telling me that I need to have all of this work done when I had never had any mention of this from my previous Dentist their response is because the new equipment fine things that old x-rays would miss and I understand that, but I was not prepared.

I recently visited this dental clinic for an emergence for the first time, and I had a great experience. Angela and Dr. Brown were both very kind, professional, and caring throughout the visit. They made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommended!

I have had a very unsettling experience with this office. I had not been to the dentist in 2-3 years, as my previous dentist had retired. I came in to St. Matthews Dental Care and they spent 1.5 hours just on doing an exam and then told me that I needed an expensive cleaning that would cost about $1000, plus two fillings costing another $750. I scheduled the $1000 cleaning for later that week because they said I had signs of gingivitis and gum recession and that this cleaning was necessary. Then after doing some more research, I called them (before coming back in for the cleaning) and asked if the $1000 cleaning was actually necessary. Then they told me that I had been given the wrong total and that actual the cleaning would only cost $440. I thought that was super shady and asked again if the cleaning was necessary. They said that yes it was. I decided to seek a second opinion because I felt like I couldn't trust an office that would magically reduce my treatment payment by $500 just because I questioned it. I got in with another dentist literally four days later for a second opinion. This other dentist is privately owned, highly rated, very well reputed office. ***They told me that I didn't need ANY of the things that St. Matthews Dental Care said that I needed.*** They said I just needed a good (routine) cleaning and we'll see you in six months. They told me that my experience at St. Matthews Dental Care was likely because of the corporate model to upsell treatments in order to meet certain quotas. I'm literally SHOOK by this experience. St. Matthew's Dental Care totally took advantage of me, even saying I needed holes drilled in to my teeth that I do not need. I almost believed them. I cannot believe this kind of thing is even legal.

I'm writing this review to warn others about this place. This place only cares about taking your money not the wellbeing of your oral health. I could write about all the things that went wrong under Dr. Brown's "care" but I don't want to write a long paragraph, in brief they will offer you treatments that you don't need, charge you an insane amount for them even with insurance, Dr. Brown left a filler halfway done that she checked and said it was fine and caused me to get a crown, they forgot to schedule me for my crown even though it was payed for and ready, they schedule me for an appointment and when I got there Dr. Brown was actually at a Dr's appointment and they wanted me to wait for her until she shows up. My experience with them was stressful, not professional and I don't recommend this place to anyone.
