After being a patient at this practice for many years — and having what I believed was a close, trusting relationship with the dentist — I was stunned to receive a formal letter abruptly terminating me as a patient. The letter cited a vague "breakdown in the provider-patient relationship" and stated that my dental needs would "be better met elsewhere." There was no conversation. No effort to discuss concerns. No opportunity for resolution. Just a cold, corporate-style letter, signed and sent, as if I were a stranger — not a long-standing patient, and certainly not someone who shares a deeper personal connection to the provider. What’s most disappointing is not the loss of dental care, but the complete lack of professionalism, maturity, and basic human decency in how the situation was handled. Good providers know how to communicate clearly. Great ones know how to set boundaries with empathy. This experience showed neither. If you’re looking for a practice where the provider treats patients with dignity, transparency, and emotional intelligence — especially when challenges arise — I encourage you to look elsewhere. Technical skill can be found in many dental offices. But genuine care, honest communication, and relational integrity? That’s much harder to find.

Over 30 years with this amazing group, 2 generations and never one negative I can remember. Immaculate facility and patient with any questions, even encourages them. Staff is friendly, incredibly thorough in the office with scheduling, referral and changes! Extraordinarily attuned to your treatments,, history and your satisfaction. Always on time. Truly a FAMILY practice!

I have been a patient for 20 years and have always received excellent care. The new location and offices are beautiful and very modern. The staff is friendly, professional and very competent. I never have to wait as service always starts according to my appointment time. The early appointments were wonderful to go before work when I was still working.

This was my first visit here! & it was fantastic! Everything ran so smoothly, the doctor and dental assistant were so friend and informative :) the office got me in so quickly to get my chipped tooth fixed and I was able to get scheduled for a routine cleaning without having to be put on a waitlist! I highly recommend this office/team!

I hadn't been to a dentist in many, many years. I knew that wasn't smart, but I would say it fell under all the usual reasons- anxiety, money, time, life. A problem developed that needed attention. So, I Googled... Luckily Charlotte Family Dentistry came up. I read everything I could on the website and was so impressed. I really felt that I had found where I belonged. From the first phone call to my visit, I was right. Heather was wonderful to me and explained everything clearly. The entire staff is too and Dr. Ralph is exactly the Doctor I need. He's smart, experienced, kind, gentle, caring and personable. I joined the Membership Plan for two reasons. One- to get the financial help and two to make the commitment that I need and want to make. It's such a relief to have found them; I'm in good hands. 7/17/25 I had two crowns today and once again everyone was wonderful. Dr. Ralph is so kind and an excellent dentist. All along the way he explained everything he was about to do and all that I needed to know and I really appreciated that. Surprisingly, it was virtually pain-free. I'm very glad I found this dental practice.
