I had my first cleaning with Spencer Face, it way surpassed my expectations for a dentist! On our first appointment, he explained everything that’s happened in the history of my mouth and for the first time in my life, I understood that all of my cavities were between the teeth, and I finally understood the patterns with my prior flossing inadequacies. Another dentist had told me I needed more cavities filled, but Spencer showed me that the cavity was not fully into the non-reversible zone, and that with the right protocol, I could actually reverse the cavity and avoid the treatment altogether saving me a ton of money! I didn’t realize how much grey area there was in dentistry and that you can get totally different recommendations from different dentists. Spencer’s goal was to do the most minimal invasiveness, lower my costs, and truly do what is right for the patient instead of what makes him the most money. He earned a trusted client for life! A truly trustworthy dentist!

All staff are helpful, and friendly! The dental hygienists explain what they are doing and make sure you are comfortable. They give helpful nys on how to better care for your teeth and gums. Dr Face keeps me informed about what dental care and procedures I need to address. I enjoy his conversations as he checks out my teeth and gums. He is careful to explain any upcoming dental work and also lets me know what he finds when checking my mouth. My overall experience at their office is comfortable and I wouldn’t hesitate to reconsider their services!

I have been going to Dr. Pickel for several years and he has always been so understanding of my dental needs, etc. He is such a "Pro" and does outstanding work! Dr Pickel takes the time to listen to all of my concerns and explains diagnoses and treatment options. He offers many options and suggestions for preventive care. His staff is efficient and friendly. I would highly recommend this office.

Prior to scheduling my appointment, I explicitly contacted this dental office to confirm whether they accepted my insurance plan. I was clearly advised that they did. I subsequently attended two separate appointments. At no point during either visit was I informed that the office would be unable or unwilling to submit claims to my insurance provider, nor was I advised that I might be personally responsible for the charges. Only after services were rendered did the office assert that billing my insurance was not possible and attempted to hold me financially responsible. This is inconsistent with the representations made prior to treatment and reflects a serious lack of transparency in billing practices. Patients are entitled to accurate information regarding insurance acceptance and financial responsibility before treatment is provided. The failure to disclose this information in a timely manner is misleading and unacceptable.
