Used to love this place. but my trusted dentist no longer works here. Last week when I went there for cleaning, the new doctor mentioned I need 3 teeth fillings. I searched and found my trusted doctor again and after visiting him, none of the 3 teeth require a filling... He confirmed with imaging and careful inspection. I believe the new management changed the incentive system for the new dentists to generate "revenue". note that it is at the cost of your health. AVOID this place.

I’m really disappointed with this dental office. Out of nowhere, I received a bill on November 17th claiming I owed $98 for a service done 16 months ago. The notice said it was my “final notification before collections” — yet this was literally the first time I had ever been contacted about it. The office has my email and cell number, and they regularly text me for appointments, but never once sent any email, text, or call about this balance. They said they had mailed letters, but I had moved and had specifically informed the office of my new address, so they knew mailed statements wouldn’t reach me. Despite that, they never used any of the contact methods I actually receive. The charge itself was for fluoride, which I never would have agreed to if I had known it wasn’t covered by my insurance. It was $98 — something that could easily be written off considering the circumstances. When I explained everything and asked them to comp it, I was told the staff member “did not have the authority” to adjust the balance. But after I mentioned that I would leave an honest review describing the situation, suddenly she did have the ability to offer 25% off. That made it clear that the earlier “I don’t have the authority” line was simply a pressure tactic, not the truth. Overall, the lack of communication, the inaccurate claim that I had received multiple notices, and the sudden shift in what they “could” do once I pushed back all felt really unprofessional. I would recommend being extremely cautious with this office, especially around billing and transparency. Update: After posting my review, I received an email from the CEO. Instead of acknowledging that the office could have used the contact methods they already use for other communication, or that threatening a patient with collections on first contact is inappropriate, the CEO accused me of writing a “false review,” told me taking it down was a “serious matter,” and said the situation could become an “expensive mistake” for me. The tone was unnecessarily intimidating and unprofessional for a healthcare provider.

Finally found a dental practice that gives excellent all around dental care at NEDG Back Bay in Boston! From the doctors to the front desk staff it’s a pleasant experience. I’m currently seeing Dr. Panajoti who takes the time to address any dental concerns and is able to tailor care to specific needs. She incorporates care that includes my cancer concerns and is very knowledgeable on what’s needed. This is of course very comforting. I would highly recommend anyone to the New England Dental Group Back Bay Office.

5 Stars!! The BEST dental office I have ever been to. Once you enter it is a calming atmosphere. Everything feels fresh and clean. Even the bathroom is calming. Lol! All of the dentists know exactly what they are doing and explain everything. They don't mind answering questions because I always have a lot. My hygienist was amazing! She gave great ideas for toothpaste, flossing and overall dental care. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful in finding payment plans for services needed as well as specific dates for our appointments. A "GoTo" dentist office, definitely!

First started going here about 5 years ago and back then they were great, but the quality has gone down. I'm still owed $350 for my invisalign treatment back in 2023. We pay for premium insurance and they told me that NEDG billed me improperly so I never got paid back the full amount I paid upfront. Followed up with them about 10 times over 6 months for them to fix the issue/bill, but it's been over a year since then and still no final reimbursement. I agree with others about the new staff- the hygienist I had last was very nice but got water all over my face, clothes and hair and it was a very unpleasant experience and the actual dentist didn't have time to review my X-rays in office. In the last year it's felt like they've been very pushy about booking appointments and some of the recommended procedures have been questionable and costly. We decided to leave after my husband received a $150 bill after a routine cleaning in December. When he inquired they said he was given an optional service, he was NEVER told that there was anything during his cleaning would cost extra. He's followed up with them twice to ask what can be done about the bill, and just like me has been ghosted. They've made it clear that they will only be proactive about communication when there's money in it for them. TLDR: Quality is down. Feel cheated out of $500. We're switching dentists.
