I had to come in for an emergency dental visit, and I am so grateful I was treated by Dr. Treinkman. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was professional, kind, and Juana the Dental Assistant was reassuring during a very stressful situation. (Her x-ray skills are amazing btw) Dr. Treinkman was calm, thorough, and took the time to explain everything clearly before starting treatment. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time and handled the issue efficiently and with great skill. His bedside manner is exceptional, and you can truly tell he cares about his patients. If you ever need an emergency dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Treinkman. Outstanding care, professionalism, and compassion—5 stars all the way.

I found East Village Dental Centre during a dental emergency after a crown came off following a root canal that had needed attention for some time. I was in a lot of pain, and they were able to get me in immediately and take care of the issue the very next day. The dentist I saw was warm, kind, and thorough. He clearly explained my options and costs and gave me the choice between a temporary fix or fully addressing the inflammation and damage underneath. I chose to move forward with the full treatment, and they were able to do everything right away. They accepted CareCredit, which made an unexpected expense much easier to manage. The office has same-day crown printing, so the new crown was made and placed during the same visit. While the procedure was uncomfortable due to pre-existing inflammation, the dentist and assistant were very attentive and responsive to pain. The difference afterward was immediate. The new crown fit much better, corrected my bite, reduced jaw tension, and felt significantly higher quality than my old one. After that experience, I continued seeing them for regular dental care. They later recommended Invisalign, which I completed in about six months with excellent results. Over time, they’ve consistently provided thoughtful, high-quality care. The team is efficient, kind, and communicative, and recommendations are made without pressure. I’ve been very happy with the durability and results of their work and would confidently recommend them.

I've been a customer for years and left because I move further west. I went to a different dentist in that area, what a huge mistake. I didn't know how great I had it, until I left. I found out the hard way, that all dentist are not created equal. This Dr Treinkman from "East Village Dental Centre" really walks on water. At my dentist out west, he would refer me for everything except cavity fillings. So, I would go where he sent me and it would about $500 for each initial visit/consultation. The first was a root canal referral that was $492, then it was an implant consultation at $500 plus. At East Village, it's a 1 stop shop for all of my dental needs. As I get older, my needs grow, so I'm not looking to shell out cash at every referral. I recently returned to East Village and it was a fine oil machine. I noticed new machinery and plenty of clients. It shows me, he's not afraid of reinvesting in his business and staff. I'm sure there's more intense training that comes along with those new machines. His assistants seem to have a certain chemistry and belief in him, because they all seem to be on the same page, especially when it's busy. They know what he needs before he needs it. I also notice the confidence and pride his assistants have in there work and at the same time being respectful in answering all my ridiculous questions. If you need a no nonsense dentist, that is clean honest, modern, efficient, knowledgeable and skilful, then East Village is your spot. Sincerely, Robert from North Riverside Illinois.

Pros: -got me in quickly after a dental accident -dental hygenists actually answer questions and are kind Cons: -Admin team is absolutely terrible. Got told many different versions of what type of follow up appointments I needed, was told the wrong appointment time as a confirmation call and had to correct them myself, was told several times when I called in with questions about these follow up appointments and my isnurance that I would get a call back and NEVER did (I physically had to go in to get answers!!!!), and NOW that it is October, after receiving care in July, I got an invoice for $1000 because they never sent my claim to my dental insurance at all!! Insane. -quality of care is not great. I got a front bridge and told them several times that my canine tooth was painful. They reassured me that once the permanent bridge that was on that I woudl not have any more pain. My canine tooth still hurts whenever I use it, basically rendering the left front of my mouth useless. After 10k spent! -Dr. Treinkman has terrible bedside (chairside?) manner and would overtly ignore my direct questions or make jokes about them. These weren't minor dental issues, and when you are REMOVING two teeth and shaving down two others, your patients will be anxious and unfamiliar with the procedure. He acted as if I didn't even speak at times. Second Update: As mentioned before, I was told my bridge would last 10+ years, but it is falling off. At my last visit, Dr. Gary Treinkman suggested implants to replace said bridge. He did not suggest this initially as an option and quoted me another 12k to do so, without taking responsibility for his poor workmanship on the bridge or offering to cover any of the cost. It is completely unacceptable for me to have spent 10k in 2024 on a bridge (and to be told it will last years) only to be met with failure and the suggestion I spend another 12k on fixing it only a year and a half later. There is a great lack of care for their patients (and scheduling organization) and clearly this is a money-hungry establishment.

A HUGE thank you to the team at East Village Dental Centre. I was granted an appointment on a Saturday with less than 24 hours notice. Dr. Gary, his assistant (UIC dental student), and the front house staff took my concerns seriously and were a great 2nd opinion. I went to them for a 2nd opinion regarding a root canal with crown filling. Turns out, I only needed a filling filed down to help relieve pressure off my bite. Saved me thousands of dollars (nearly $2400 to be exact), to only paying a couple of dollars out of pocket. I am forever grateful to their team, and can now travel to an important career milestone with confidence knowing my mouth was in good hands. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
