I’ve been a patient for over 5 years, primarily working with Dr Dwan. We’ve treated teeth grinding to the point that I no longer get migraines, done a full Invisalign series, and today I had my first filling since coming to Third Coast. I’ve had cleanings that were more uncomfortable than it was to half half my molar ground away - they use topical numbing gel, so you don’t even feel the anesthetic injections going in. Dr Dwan has always been a great communicator, presenting things in a way that’s accessible & always makes sure you know you can ask questions any time. Highly recommend this team, especially for people who have had rocky experiences elsewhere.

I had my first visit at Third-Coast Family Dental this week. I haven't been to a dentist in 2 years and have some unique needs so I was a bit apprehensive but my concerns vanished after this appointment. Everyone treated me as a human being and not a number. The attention to detail was impressive. Everyone is down to earth and not at all arrogant. Bonus that they are located a few blocks from my home.

I never felt comfortable at any dentist until I came here. I’ve always had dentists that never cared about their patients and were not personable, but since I’ve been coming here I’ve never been happier. The staff and doctors are very genuine, making sure you are in good care. Dr. B & hygienists are very kind and always make me feel comfortable in their care. Their work and kindness is more than appreciated ☺️

So today I had my 2nd visit ( many more coming) to Third coast dental......arrived 10 minutes early and they were ready for me.....was greeted by Daniel, who directed me to the room....could not have been more pleasant and friendly if she tried...got me all situated and I waited for Tammy to do the cleaning.......Now will preface this with its been 5 years since I've had my teeth cleaned and were pretty tartar caked.....I have NEVER had such a thorough cleaning in my life......and Im 72. She got stains off that I have lived with for 30 years and not once, repeat, not once did I wince cause she caused discomfort.......its weird to say this, but she made it almost an enjoyable experience......when done I met Dr. Buckle and again, could not have been more happy with the outcome....we set up a schedule for the plan going forward, and have another appointment in 2 weeks for visit number three.........if the next 5 visits result in the same kind of service, care, compassion that the first two visits had then it seems I DID make the right decision to go to Third Coast Dental..... part three: 01/21/26 So....had my third visit today at Third Coast Dental.......two fillings. Frank brought me back, took my BP explained what was gonna happen......Dr. Buchholz came in......and I've had plenty of fillings done in the past, but make me want to think where all the other dentists I've seen have gone to school, as He was so professional....no pain at all during injections, told me step by step what was going on during the entire procedure....was done in less than an hour and could not be happier with the results......He did warn me, that because of the location of the numbing, to be careful not to bite my upper lip.......I did anyway.......other than that, waiting for trip number 4....the dreaded ROOT CANAL....will let you know how that turns out in a couple weeks........

Be prepared to pay $413 just for an exam and X-rays- doesn’t include the teeth cleaning. The deep teeth cleaning they quoted me was $900 on top of the $413. Also, make sure you ask how much bill will be before you make an appointment, no where did they say it was $413 for the exam and never showed me itemized bill beforehand or before I left. I went in for an emergency appointment 1st and they were very reasonably priced so I went back for cleaning, nice staff but not transparent with pricing the second time. Not sure I’ll be back again.
