This is my dentist for over 15 years and when he moved to his own practice and I moved to Oakland I didn’t even hesitate to stay with his practice. It feels like family when I walk in from all the staff. Friendly and very easy to get to the office. Especially by public transportation. The office is modern and clean and has stunning views of Union square and surrounding area. Paul and the whole staff treat you with kindest and compassion. Pricing is upfront and for San Francisco reasonable. Highly recommend if you’re looking even for a teeth cleaning. Try them out. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Paul Ryan Lake for about two to three years, and he’s the first dentist I’ve fully trusted in a long time. I grind my teeth and deal with constant wear, decay, and the cavities that come with it. After years of dentists pushing huge treatment plans, I’ve always been wary of anyone recommending a lot of work. Dr. Lake strikes the balance perfectly—he only does what’s necessary, keeps things as minimal as possible, and never goes overboard. That honesty is why I trust him completely. His office staff is also excellent. They’re organized, persistent in the best way, and genuinely helpful. I let a cleaning appointment slip off my radar after a couple reschedules, and they kept following up until I actually got it back on the calendar. The hygienists are consistently kind, gentle, and they always remember me. I also appreciate that they provide treatment estimates up front by email, so I know exactly what to expect cost-wise. The office itself has a beautiful view, and they always show before-and-after photos of any work they do, which really helps you understand what was done and why. Overall, Dr. Lake and his team make dental care feel honest, thoughtful, and straightforward. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Dr. Lake is great! His examination is extremely detailed, his office is PRISTINE and I had the best experience with his team. Eric at the front desk is very friendly and Fabian, Dr. Lake’s office manager, is very knowledgeable about the work my dental plan covers. I am also impressed with the state of the art technology in his office. Sarah, my hygienist is so gentle and my teeth never felt so clean IN MY LIFE!

Very pleasant experience here, from the initial appointment setup to the meeting with Dr Lake and both Sarahs. Fabian at the front desk was extremely helpful with figuring out my insurance details. They were extremely through with my initial on-borading, with a lot of pictures and documentation of my current oral health. They were not pushy about getting any unnecessary work done. The clinic was extremely clean and well organized. Overall great experience and great staff.

The absolute best. Very caring, professional and does great work. Calms you down and is very patient and just good hearted. Highly recommend. This is coming from someone that has seen several dentists before.
