3 weeks agoI've been going to Perfection Dentistry since after COVID when my former dentist decided to retire. I was not looking forward to finding a new one. And when you have a dental history like mine, having a "team" is reassuring. What I like about Perfection Dentistry is that everyone is in one place. I won't go into the massive details, but coordinating my care between different specialists is a huge convenience. Dr. Tigani and Meredith have been great with my braces, retainers and the ongoing process.Dr. Pashai has given me straight-up advice about the multiple crowns I need to plan for. Dr. Leon-Guerrero did a surprisingly non-traumatic root canal (It was something I never wanted to go through again after a previous one in my younger years). Dr. Badakhshan followed up with the crown. The doctors, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and staff on most every occasion have been thoughtful, professional, and respectful of my concerns. Huge for me. The only challenge I've ever had was with my insurance.

2 weeks agoDanielle has been a wonderful hygienist! It’s so difficult choosing a new dentist to get a good cleaning experience. Danielle has exceeded my expectations which are always set high. She listens, waits to answer, is kind and honest. The dentist are knowledgable and also listen very well. Overall, the office has a great culture that reflects highly communication, quality, and kindness.

a month agoHad my first visit here, and everyone was so nice! Check in was easy and quick, and I appreciated being able to fill out the forms ahead of time. Susan was especially sweet and so easy to talk to! I had a bad experience at a different dentist's office before, so her kindness made the whole visit really pleasant. Dr. Stringer was also very kind and easy to get along with. Conversation came up naturally with both of them! The office itself was really clean and very up-to-date. It might depend on the room, but you get a nice view by huge windows. I can't wait to continue my care here! Thank you, Susan, Dr. Stringer, and Team!

a month agoI had a great experience at Pearl Dentistry!!! Dr. Stringer and Susan were absolutely wonderful and made my visit so smooth and comfortable. I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite some time, but they made my first visit back stress-free and reassuring. They were kind, patient, and took the time to explain everything, which really helped put me at ease. The whole office has a welcoming atmosphere, and I felt well cared for from start to finish.

a week agoI visited Pearlfection in Urbana for consultation on a spot in my mouth, which I was told needed a second opinion from one of their specialists. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks later with one of their oral surgeons. My appointment was scheduled for 6pm. The surgeon did not see me until 7pm. After waiting all that time, expecting a thorough exam, I was told the area was small and looked fine to him. No images done, nothing. So an hour wait for a 5 minute "peek." While that bothered me, I let it go thankful everything was okay. Imagine my surprise several weeks later where my insurance was not covering my claim, stating the office was out of network. I was confused - I specifically looked on the website and selected Pearlfection because they were in network with my dental insurance. I reached out to Pearlfection and what followed was phone/voicemail tag throughout November. Voicemail 1 (Me): Why I was billed out of network? I specifically selected Pearlfection because they were in network. Their Voicemail Response: None of their specialists are in network. Voicemail 2 (Me): Who can I speak with because I specifically selected Pearlfection for being in network. No one told me specialists were out of network and had I known that, I would have canceled the appointment and found a specialist that was in network. Their Voicemail Response: We'll credit your account if you complete the treatment plan recommended. Voicemail 3 (Me): Their surgeon told me everything was okay. There's allegedly no treatment plan. So now what? Their Voicemail Response: I'm not sure, we'll pass this along, I don't know if they'll credit your account. **Nothing for months and today my husband gets an invoice for this charge that is in conflict with the No Surprise Billing Act.** I will be filing something after this considering they concealed billing practices and charges, out of network doctors within an in network organization. So disappointing because I loved the employees - but the practice is awful.
