I have been going to U Street Family Dentistry for almost 4 years and have had a fantastic experience every time. The staff is extremely kind and they have never tried to sell me unnecessary treatment. The dental hygienist, Sheila, and the dental assistant, Brion, do a great job of making the cleaning thorough yet painless. My dentist, Dr. Joshi, is absolutely lovely and answers all my questions in depth. 10/10 recommend!

I love everything about my experiences at U Street Family Denistry. Dr. Yetunde Patrick is exceptional. She is highly knowledgeable and mentally prepares you by explaining what to expect when providing treatment. She expertly administers dental services and uses the latest technology and best materials to produce amazing results. When most dental offices were closed during the pandemic in 2020-2022, Dr. Patrick and her team worked faithfully to provide this Washington, DC area community with life sustaining dental care. I had an extremely painful, throbbing decaying wisdom tooth that I noticed was negatively affecting my blood pressure. Dr. Patrick provided timely treatment during the pandemic and the pain was gone. Three years later, Dr. Patrick and her outstanding, professional team -Jackie, Dolce, Tiffany, Rachel, Sheila, and Dr. Nisha Joshi are still committed to providing exceptional dental care services. Jackie, Dolce, and Sheila thoughtfully provided a cost estimate per request so I could successfully plan visits within budget. They are so kind and make you feel welcomed. Tiffany was very attentive and expertly matched the color of my replacement tooth. Rachel did a fantastic dental cleaning and offered at-home-care recommendations to properly treat teeth between visits. Dr. Joshi is also knowledgeable and offered wonderful bedside manner. I cannot say enough about this highly skilled, personable team at this convenient and aesthetically pleasing but small DC office location.

Great, friendly, and efficient service as always. Appointments and follow ups are easily handled. Special shout out to Sheila the hygienist for having a very light touch when doing my cleaning / charting, making sure that my sensitive spots still got dealt with without discomfort — didn’t even need to break out the numbing ointment.

It’s been two years since my original visit, but the frustration has stayed with me long enough that I finally have to leave this review. I was a student new to the area, when I started having tooth pain and my mom randomly looked yo places and told me to come here. After getting a filling, I later discovered the dentist had sealed two of my teeth together, making it impossible to floss between them. A few days after paying $300, they suddenly claimed I owed another $300 because my insurance “didn’t cover as much as they thought.” When I called my insurance, I learned that was not true. And based on other reviews, it seems like this is a recurring issue here. Within a two months, the tooth they worked on BROKE off, which led to needing a root canal, and I’ve continued to have pain and problems ever since — all stemming from this one terrible visit. Years of great dental health were completely derailed by one incompetent appointment. I wish I had done my own research instead of going with the random place my mom picked. If you’re reading this, please be careful — buyer beware.
