Dr. Kim is truly amazing. I have significant dental anxiety and, because of that, I had gone to the same dentist back home for most of my life. When I had an urgent dental issue several months ago and couldn’t get to my parents, the front desk was incredibly understanding and helpful and scheduled me an appointment with Dr. Kim. He went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, checking in with me at every step and being extremely respectful of the challenges I face at the dentist. Ms. Stephanie was also wonderful—so kind and helpful with the financial aspects. When I unexpectedly burst into tears, she handled it with the perfect balance of care, respect, and reassurance. I even trusted their recommendation for a teeth cleaning—WOW. I have never felt so calm and at ease during a cleaning before. Everyone at the Arlington office is truly AMAZING. I am fully transitioned to VA Dental Center as my dentist. Thank you, Dr. Kim, Ms. Stephanie, and everyone who helped me!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Goldstein for 10 years, and he’s consistently straightforward and reliable. He explains what actually needs to be done (and what doesn’t), never pushes unnecessary work, and makes procedures feel manageable. The office is clean, runs on time, and the staff is professional and easy to deal with. If you’re looking for a dentist who is honest, efficient, and consistent, this is a solid choice.

I left my appointment and had to take a moment to leave a review because this team truly deserves it! From start to finish, my experience was nothing short of amazing. Stephanie in the admin office was incredible she helped me from the very first phone call all the way through checkout. She is so kind, organized, and welcoming. You can really tell she cares about patients and wants everything to go smoothly. Vivian was absolutely wonderful. She is so patient, gentle, and reassuring. She made me feel extremely comfortable the entire time, constantly checking on me and explaining what was happening. She even gave me the best compliments (: She’s truly great at what she does, and it shows. And Dr. Goldstein!!! He continues to do outstanding work every single visit. I fully trust him, and that says a lot when it comes to dental care. He's so knowledgeable, and always double and triple checking to make sure everything is good... THANK YOU! I am always comfortable in his chair and never in actual pain during procedures. He is skilled, calm, and very thorough. I genuinely appreciate the care and attention he gives. I love walking into this office and being welcomed by the team, it feels warm and professional at the same time. Even if I move to Texas, I will STILL travel back to Virginia just to see Dr. Goldstein and keep him as my dentist. That’s how much I value the care I receive here. It just all feels so genuine!! DO NOT GO HERE. I am typing this review as a patient who has been going here for nearly 6 years. In that time, the front office staff has become so incompetent it is appalling. At my most recent appointment they told me I was checked in. I waited 45 minutes to be called back. It turns out, the person who checked me in removed me from the schedule entirely. On top of that, they neglected to tell me that my dentist wasn’t even there that day. I DIDNT EVEN GET TO SEE A DENTIST. This is the most egregious experience but isn’t the first. I’ve had long waits there previously - once I waited 30 mins because my hygienist couldn’t find a hair tie. All this to say, do not go here. The front office staff is not competent enough and it is too stressful to be worth it.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kim after reading many positive reviews, specifically to address a gap that developed between two porcelain crowns following Zoom whitening. During my intake call, I asked multiple times whether Dr. Kim performs bonding on porcelain crowns, as my regular dentist had told me this was not possible. I was explicitly assured by Stephanie (who was very kind and helpful) that Dr. Kim could perform this procedure. Based on that confirmation, I completed all required paperwork and waited three weeks for my appointment. On March 17, I took time out of my workday, drove 40 minutes, paid for parking, and arrived for my consultation. Upon meeting me, Dr. Kim immediately stated that bonding cannot be done on porcelain crowns. I explained that I had specifically asked about this multiple times during intake and was assured otherwise. He responded by saying he had never been asked that question. Afterward, Stephanie kindly showed me the intake notes, which clearly documented that I had asked this exact question, confirming that this was an internal oversight. Despite this, Dr. Kim did not acknowledge the mistake or offer an apology. Instead, he stated, “the good news is I’m not going to charge you,” which felt inappropriate given that no service was performed and the situation resulted from misinformation provided by the office. When I responded that not being charged was expected, he reprimanded me, stating he was being “courteous” and that I was being inconsiderate of his time. This experience was disappointing, not because of the clinical limitation but due to the lack of accountability and professionalism. A simple review of intake notes or a follow-up call prior to the appointment could have prevented me from wasting several hours of my day.
