a month agoI had a terrible experience there last year. I went in for an initial new patient appointment and Dr. Anya Pukhovitskaya said I needed all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, would likely need a root canal, multiple cavities, gum issues, should get a custom mouth guard for sleeping to prevent grinding, and that my tongue was too big for my mouth. The dentist had no bedside demeanor whatsoever and she laid all of this on me after barely spending anytime with me at all. So I've been petrified to go back, so I finally got a second opinion elsewhere and turns out I only have a few cavities and that's it!!! When I told my new dentist about my experience their jaw dropped to the floor and said that's insanely scary and should be criminal. So definitely don't go here unless you want to get unnecessary and in my case highly invasive things done.
Robert Licciardi
4 weeks agoMy name is Robert licciardi. I was a patient of Barry Cohen's. I was sent to your East boston office for a consultation about a post.when I got there I had to pay $192.00 for a consulting fee.I was told that was my third consult this year ? I only had two cleanings this year and was told that when the dentist came in for four minutes that was a consultation. That you charged my insurance. The dentist that I seen in your EB office spent six minutes with me ,only to tell me that I have to go for a 3D xray for $90.00 in your SB office. Then I have to have another consultion with him. Is there going to be another consultant fee ? I have asked about the cost of the post and haven't gotten any answer's. I am very turned off by your companys fees. Why should I not pursue getting a post somewhere where there transparent about there fees an cost.

5 months agoWent in for a simple filling the doctor dug a hole in my gum with the drill kept working never said anything when she finished she said there is a cut when I looked it is a deep hole in the gums inside my lower lip. She kept saying it happens it will heal put Vaseline on it, kept saying this stuff happens but never apologized for her mistake I asked to speak with the manager she also came in never took a closer look just said it will heal it happens put Vaseline on it, she said I was lucky this never happened to me before that it happens all the time like in surgeries anything could go wrong again no apology for their mistake just excuses. The dentist disappeared she didn’t come back her assistant put Vaseline on it. I have had work done for years and nothing like this ever happened it is the dentist responsibility to make sure they have a good grip on their equipment and adjust their position accordingly and not rush through the process and cause injuries to their patients and then say “it happens” It hurts, swollen, everything stings warm, cold liquids, food even toothpaste when it comes in contact. I have had work done by dental students who are still learning and nothing like this ever happened so when I go to a dentist that supposedly has years of experience I expect better

2 months agoI encourage patients who visit this business to check their Explanation of Benefits (EoB) statement from your insurer before paying any bills. If you notice any discrepancies between your EoB and AP’s bill, you are only required to pay the amount indicated on your EoB. This business may challenge this, so then simply notify your insurer and they will take it from there. Do yourself a favor and take two minutes to review your EoB BEFORE paying any nonsensical amounts you’re invoiced, otherwise you’re likely to get swindled into paying x1000 what you really owe.
