Smile Science has been my dental provider since I moved to Chicago nine years ago. I've had an incredibly positive experience there for the following reasons: - First-class facility: I am no dental expert but it's clear they consistently invest in their offices to maximize patient comfort and quality of care. - Friendly and Approachable Staff and Practitioners: communication is a strength, and I have always had positive interactions with the front desk and hygienists. Dr. Urda is energetic and passionate about her work, and my experiences with other dentists have been positive as well. - Flexible Hours/Ease of Scheduling - Quality of Care/Trust: happily, the majority of my appointments here have only been for preventative care. While I've not been a terribly profitable patient for their practice, I feel their team strikes the right balance of effectively monitoring potential dental issues to be able to address proactively, but not being overly aggressive by recommending treatment that isn't really needed. Smile Science is a large, efficiently run practice. Some patients seeking a "smaller practice" feel may wish to express a preference to meet with the same individuals for their appointments to help the experience feel more personal. That said, I have always felt cared for regardless of which staff member is providing my care, and I appreciate the scheduling flexibility that having a larger staff on hand enables. Overall, I am glad to have chosen Smile Science as my neighborhood provider when I moved to Chicago and will continue to return there for my future dental needs.

Dr Urda is so wonderful! When I apologized for keeping her late on her birthday, she simply responded, “no! I love doing dentistry!”, and it really shows. From mindfully designing a beautiful and welcoming space, to carefully explaining each step of the treatment plan with patience , I felt cared for and never rushed. The front desk and treatment staff are incredible, as well, and were all so warm and patient. They all made 4 hours of emergency care bearable! Highly recommend!

One of the most informative and fun dentist visits I've ever had. I was greeted by two energetic, fun front desk associates that make you feel calm and relaxed. I was then taken back to the chair where they let you pick what show to watch and the X-rays were fast and painless. Mari was not only the most professional and knowledgeable dental hygienist I've ever had but she was a very funny and personable. The dentist came in and was fast in his assessment but I never felt rushed. He gave great attention to my teeth and needs. I've already recommended this office to multiple folks. Who knew going to the dentist could be fun?

This is a great practice! The office is beautiful and comfortable. Everyone I met or spoke with was pleasant, welcoming, and thoughtful from reception, dental hygienist and my dentist to billing. I’m following up on my treatment and I recommend Smile Science wholeheartedly.

Dr. Urda and her staff ensure that I am comfortable and safe from the moment I walk in the door to when I leave with a fresh set of clean and healthy teeth. They also always check with insurance BEFORE giving me a quote so that I am never surprised by extra charges later as I have encountered at other dental practices.
