Dr.McLain is the best. I’ve been going here for 7 years. I’ve never had a better dentist. He’s thorough caring experienced and explains everything. I’m so grateful for him and this practice.

Today I was fired as a client by this dentist for refusing X-rays. Now, I’ve been coming to this dentist for years and have tolerated something’s I probably shouldn’t have. Some of which to include coming in after taking time off, getting numbed up—only to have the wrong crown provided. (It was someone else’s tooth) prepared for me. Then having to come back later to go through the process all over again. I have had past due bills sent without ever receiving the first one, then months after paying online, getting phone calls requesting payment and having to prove I’ve already completed it. The experience has been chaotic to say the least. I’m a cash payer after they dropped Cigna, so as a fellow clinician, there’s no reason why I should have to participate, and pay for an additional service, outside of the cleaning I was scheduled for (for over a year). Really disappointed overall. The redeeming qualities include really nice staff and nice facilities.

The dentist was nice enough, but I felt like I spent more time in the waiting room than in the chair. They did a thorough job on my cleaning, but I wish the appointment felt a bit smoother.

Uh, W-O-W. Yeah, everybody, it’s exactly as all the other five-star reviewers have glossed: THIS. PLACE. IS. AMAZING. From the front desk dynamic duo of Danica and Amanda, Hygienist Kellie, and the kahuna himself, Dr. McLain, it was five shiny gold stars from beginning to end. Kind, compassionate, meticulous, detailed, knowledgeable; every step of my exam was thoroughly explained, and I never felt rushed or upsold. Having a good dentist is akin to a “cornerstone” service (mechanic/doctor/barber/plumber/etc), and finding DSD was a godsend. 11/10, would dental exam again.

Dr. McLain was excellent. He explained everything he was doing with me in an empathetic but clear way. The whole staff was extremely professional, kind and efficient. Special mention to Vanessa (the dental assistant) and Danica who helped check me in and out. All around a great experience.
