This morning I experienced the most amazing and efficient service of my life in this amazing clinic! So happy to having met this place thanks to my partner Lawrence Ingber who is a super happy patient since many years given that today his teeth look amazingly GREAT thanks to this incredible dental clinic. Great professionals and human beings. couldn’t be any more grateful, happy, impressed and amazed by how much quickness, professionalism, respect, kindness and seriousness this whole team put in their job!!! I’m definitely coming back in two weeks to continue my treatment and I can’t wait to be here!!! Really happy once again for the amazing job they did on my teeth. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED! Rai Vaugh Rai Vaugh Rai Vaugh was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! She has been the BEST hygienist I have had all my years of going to the dentist. The facility is so beautiful & clean. R went above and beyond for me. Gave me suggestions on what oral care is best for my teeth and what I have going on at the time. She was fast, but very thorough and I felt NO PAIN at all the entire cleaning. Dr. Eric was great as well as the rest of the staff!

I needed a new dentist after my old one stopped accepting my insurance, and I’m so glad I found this one. The office has a beautiful, relaxing, beach ambience with full Jacksonville photo murals in every room. The staff and dentist (Dr. Hekkert) are incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. They explained everything clearly and really listened. Pricing was shown upfront, and not after the fact which I liked. My teeth look 20 years younger. I only wish I had been coming here all along. Highly recommend!

I thought I made an appointment at a different office, but they were very nice about it and I'm so glad I ended up here instead! Digna is an amazing hygienist who took her time and was very thorough. She definitely takes pride in her work. Dr. Hekkert was also very kind and helpful and explained things well. Everyone up front was also wonderful! Great place!

I’m very disappointed with my experience at Ortega Dental. I called the day before my scheduled appointment to notify the office that I needed to cancel; however, the office was closed during their stated regular “business” hours, leaving me with no option to speak with anyone sooner. Despite giving notice as early as I reasonably could, the office later confirmed that I called at 3:53 PM the day before, while my appointment was scheduled for 2:40 PM the following day only a few hours beyond the 24-hour window. Even with this advance notice and the circumstances, I was still informed that I would be charged a $50 schedule change fee. I also spoke directly with the manager Cindy, who stated that I could have left a voicemail, despite the fact that I was attempting to communicate my situation in real time. I explained that I was canceling for medical reasons, as I had just received eight abdominal steroid injections and was concerned about potential complications with dental treatment and/or X-rays. Given that context, I expected at least some understanding or empathyespecially after sharing a prior poor experience at another local dental office. Unfortunately, none was shown. What was most disappointing is that it felt as though the focus was placed entirely on collecting a $50 fee, rather than valuing a potential long-term patient relationship. Policies matter, but so does compassion, flexibility, and patient care particularly when someone communicates in advance and has legitimate medical concerns. This experience left me feeling unsupported and devalued as a customer. As a result, my family and I will not be returning.
