    As someone who is terrified of dentists I've had a great experience and now feel more at ease coming to dentist office having found great care and service at Kawata Dental. I also really loved that here they didn't make me wait, someone was always in attending to me, I've barely had to sit there and anxiously wait for anyone. The fast pace of service is so important. Highly recommend.

    Dr. Ben Kawata is an exceptional dentist and i am blessed to have him as my Dentist. Likewise, all of his Staff demonstrate efforts to provide the best service possible. Dr. Kawata listens, attends to every detail, and his skills are superb. No need to look for more when one finds a highly skilled Dentist who does the right thing for his Patients. Thank you Dr. Kawata and Aileen for the most thorough, and informative prophylaxis appointment I ever had!

    Be cautious when dealing with this dental office. They have some questionable practices that you should be aware of. For instance, they send text messages warning that you will be fined if you cancel an appointment without 24 hours' notice. Yet, on the morning of my appointment, I received a text informing me that my hygienist was out sick—without any prior warning. But that’s not all. Despite sending them my insurance details ahead of time, calling to confirm if they accepted my insurance, and even asking in person if my cleaning would be fully covered, they assured me multiple times that I was "covered." However, I later discovered that this office is actually out of network for my insurance. This means they provided me with misleading and incorrect information. To add insult to injury, I received a surprise bill in the mail. When I called my insurance company, they confirmed that this office was indeed out of network and should never have assured me that I was "fully covered." When I contacted the office to discuss the bill, the person I spoke with gave me a series of conflicting and inaccurate explanations: 1.) They claimed they couldn’t check ahead of time if I was in or out of network (a statement that contradicts their earlier assurances). 2.) They falsely stated that I hadn’t provided my insurance information in advance, even though I had sent it weeks before my appointment. 3.) They inaccurately assumed that I had already had a dental checkup earlier this year, which was not the case. If you value honesty and transparency, especially if you have PPO dental insurance, I strongly recommend avoiding this dental office. Their lack of integrity and clear communication could end up costing you more than just money.

    I’ve been going to Kawata Dental for a very long time - first with Kawata Sr. and now with Dr. Ben Kawata - and Hygenist Michelle - their dentistry has always been painless and exceptional. Polite, ethical, hardworking, professional people. Over the years I’ve referred friends to Kawata and they’ve all been happy.

    I'm from Japan and I've never been to a dentist outside of Japan. But the staff were very kind and I felt at ease. Before the treatment, they checked my insurance to make sure I didn't have to pay extra, which was very kind of them. I'm planning to go back for a cleaning in six months:)
