I visited Highland Park Family Dentistry on December 19, 2022, due to a toothache and had spoken to a representative over the phone beforehand, who informed me that an exam and X-ray would cost $37. Upon arrival, Dr. Amanda Clifford examined my tooth, took an X-ray, and determined that extraction was necessary due to an infection. While I appreciated the thorough diagnosis, I was surprised that only amoxicillin was prescribed without any pain relief medication, as I expected more comprehensive pain management. However, I followed their recommendation to take ibuprofen. When it was time to pay, there was some confusion about the cost, but after clarifying the initial quote, I was charged an unexpected amount but it was fixed which I appreciated. On December 27 2022 I returned for the extraction. Dr. Clifford administered numbing medication, but I still experienced significant pain during the procedure. Despite expressing my concerns, I felt that she became defensive rather than addressing the discomfort effectively. Due to the pain, the extraction could not be completed. This was disappointing, as I had hoped for a smoother and more comfortable experience. While my visit had its challenges, I recognize the hard work and dedication of the staff. I hope future visits are even smoother, as I can see that Highland Dental is committed to patient care. I appreciate their time and effort and hope that they continue to improve the patient experience.

My son and I have been going to Highland Park Dentistry ever since we moved to Wauwatosa. I initially chose them because of their proximity to our home, but I can they would be worth the travel should we ever move. Dr. Gorman and her team are fantastic. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the front office staff, to hygienists Pam and Nancy, to the dentists themselves, they make you feel very welcome. Highland Park Dentistry has done an excellent job with promptly addressing emergency dental situations and any needed referrals. I highly recommend their services. Update January 2025: I continue to be so impressed by this dentistry team. My son is in college and got part of a tooth knocked out while playing basketball.They got him in and taken care of right away. He was willing to drive from Iowa to come be taken care of by the people he knows and trusts. (That means a lot coming from a 21 year old male.) We are so grateful to have them in our “back yard”.

Like a lot of people, I get very nervous at the dentist. Dr. Clifford and Ashley did an excellent job making me feel comfortable during a rather difficult filling, and catered to my needs as a somewhat needy patient very well. The filling is shaped perfectly, and Dr. Clifford was very careful to make sure of that. For sure my best experience at a dentist's office.

Fantastic from start to finish. This Dental office is the pinnacle of professionalism. They are so nice and welcoming, and very knowledgeable about what they are doing, and explained things to me so well. I really appreciated my appointment, and look forward to my next one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My first visit and it was great! The staff greeted me and called me by my nickname like I wanted. They all were very pleasant and friendly. Pam was nice and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. I felt very welcomed and the atmosphere was welcoming. I forgot to tell them but I loved their fall decorations!! Great place, great service!
