2 weeks agoI absolutely love this office. I see Dr Alvin Zad and his assistant/office manager Kierstin who is lovely and beyond helpful. They have made something that is terrifying for me such an easy and smooth experience. I love the front desk girls Gabby and Maly who help with treatment planning. The office is clean and you really get that neighborhood feeling. I wouldn’t go anywhere else, regardless of my commute time. Shout out to you guys!

2 weeks agoI had a great experience here. Dr zad was informative and made me feel comfortable. The front desk girls Gabby and Maly made the check in process smooth when my insurance was difficult to find and the office manager Kierstin who treatment planned for me helped me find some affordable payment plans that worked for me. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

a month agoLove coming here! Always really clean and usually get checked in almost immediately. I don’t really enjoy coming to dentist because I don’t like oral pain but Dr.Lyle is amazing! She always makes sure I’m comfortable and lets me know what’s she’s doing before doing it so I know what to expect. The front desk is also amazing! I’ve been here often the past few weeks and they always greet me. Definitely will continue to come here.

3 weeks agoMy experience at Philadelphia Dental was mixed. I originally came in for an appointment with Dr. Lyle, but she was unavailable that day and I was seen by another dentist instead (Dr. Alvin Zad). During that visit, I was told I had six cavities and needed six fillings, which immediately raised concern for me as it felt excessive and inaccurate. I spoke with the dental assistant, Kiersten, and requested a second opinion with my requested dentist. She was understanding and helped me reschedule without issue. When I later saw Dr. Lyle, she confirmed that my teeth were healthy and in good condition and did not see any of the issues previously mentioned. While I can’t speak to the intentions behind the initial assessment, I personally would not feel comfortable being treated by Dr. Zad. That said, Dr. Lyle was excellent, Kiersten was professional and supportive, and Gabby at the front desk was also very helpful. I’m grateful I trusted my instincts and sought a second opinion. I highly recommend Dr. Lyle and the staff I interacted with, but I strongly encourage patients to advocate for themselves and ask questions if something doesn’t feel right. I will follow Dr. Lyle wherever she goes.

4 weeks agoToday was my first visit. My appointment was at 11:30 I was called to the back for X-Rays around 12:09. After the X-rays I was lead to a room where I was sat down and explained to that I will get some fillings done and cleaning and referral would be made to endodontics. Sat in the room prepped until 1:03pm where they came in to numb me. I have exact time stamps because my husband was waiting for me in the car and I was giving him updates. Before I was numbed I asked the male dentist a question about my back tooth I don’t know if he got distracted or anything but he didn’t answer me. And proceeded to numb me up and left again. It was very cold in the back and no one checked in or came back until 1:48pm where a lady came in slightly frazzled. She got started and seemed very frustrated throughout the process and with the other attendants asking about her timing. She wound up apologizing for the time she took, but I was more so confused on why she did the fillings alone. Especially if they were busy. By the end of it I had to wipe water from all over my face and the top of my shirt was drenched. No referral, no treatment plan, No Cleaning. However, the receptionist did state she would email.I feel like they were busy and stressed, but nobody wins in these situations especially the patients. This was my first time doing anything in terms of caring for myself since the passing of my son and this visit ran my anxiety very high. Visit started great and ended being burnt out and anxious. Visit ended at 3:21. 3 stars because I’m always willing to give the benefit of the doubt and while there’s room for improvement they weren’t horrible.
