This is the best initial dental visit I’ve ever had. I’m 49 yo so I’ve had a lot of dental visits. The staff was very friendly. I was seen right away. The dentist was friendly and very thorough. I get nervous whenever I see the dentist but she put me at easy. She went into detail about how to improve my dental health. Taking the time with the patient and not rushing the patient is so cool. I’m in medicine (not a dentist) and this was a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend Golden Gate Dental for quality care with a smile. Thank you guys. :)

Everyone at Golden Gate Dental is wonderful. Dr. Young has been a great general dentist and made Invisalign so easy when I decided to go for it. Thanks to him, Sonia, and the rest of the GGD team, my teeth are straight again and always so well taken care of.

Super friendly staff! Starting as a new patient was a breeze. They are very knowledgeable and great at explaining what my insurance would cover and what they would not. They made sure to explain every step and answered all my questions. Dr. Komissarova took the time to hear all of my dental concerns and discussed different treatment options with no pressure to make a decision right away. She was able to fix something that a previous dentist had messed up on and made a huge difference in how I feel about my smile. I am so happy I found a great Dentist and wonderful office. Definitely recommend!

They tried to upsell my husband and I and recommended unnecessary services. When I came for a cleaning here I was told I needed three fillings, and that I should not wait more than a few months to do this. I found this strange since I hadn't had a cavity in over 10 years but made the appointment. After more reflection, I decided to get a second opinion from the dentist my family had been seeing for decades in San Mateo. The family dentist reviewed my x-rays and examined me in person and said there was only 1 (not 3!!) spots visible but that because the 1 spot was on top of an older filling, filling it would entail additional risks, and his recommendation was to monitor closely with no immediate intervention. That was over a year ago and my teeth are fine now. Long story short-- I would not recommend any procedure here without a second opinion.
