I live in San Clemente and after doing my research, I decided to make the two-hour drive to Los Angeles to see Dr. Aalam — and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My lower teeth had severe gum recession, and I wasn’t sure where to turn. From the moment I met him, I was impressed not only with his incredible skill but also his kindness, warmth, and the way he explained everything so clearly. He made me feel like I was talking to a friend I’d known forever. On the day of my gum surgery, I had zero pain — and for the next seven days afterward, still zero pain. I could hardly believe how smooth and comfortable the entire healing process was. My gums looked healthier immediately, and my confidence came back. Since then, my whole family has become patients too — my husband had a wisdom tooth extraction, and my son went to Dr. Krivitsky (Dr. Aalam’s wife) for four extractions with no complications at all. She is also absolutely wonderful. One of the moments that really struck me was at my very first visit, when I was sitting in the waiting room. The lady next to me asked where I was from, and when I said San Clemente, she smiled and told me she had flown in all the way from Las Vegas — and she was a dentist herself! That says everything about the level of trust and respect these doctors have earned. I am originally from Germany, I’m a perfectionist, and I’m an interior designer — so I pay attention to every detail. I can honestly say Dr. Aalam and Dr. Krivitsky are the best periodontists I have ever met. Now I even go to them for my cleanings, and I don’t mind the two-hour drive because I know I’m in the best hands possible. They are world-class periodontists, and I feel truly grateful and blessed to have met them.
