I have “dentist anxiety” due to bad childhood dental visits. Dr. Hernandez and his team are amazing! They were so kind and gentle and explained everything they were doing. I felt no discomfort and was kept so comfortable I almost fell asleep! And the cost was very reasonable. Dr. Hernandez truly cares about his patients.

I’ve had some bad experiences with dentists in San Diego, but Dr. Hernandez is completely different. He’s honest, never pushy to do treatments, and takes the time to explain everything so you feel comfortable and informed. It feels amazing to finally have a dentist I can really trust and that’s saying a lot because I’ve never liked going to the dentist. 10/10 - Highly recommend.

When I scheduled my appointment over the phone, no one mentioned a $50 deductible. My insurance clearly states zero deductible for both cleanings and X-rays. The doctor was fine, and the girl who did my X-rays was very nice, but the cleaning felt very quick and basic. What really disappointed me was the front desk experience — the staff member was quite stubborn and insisted that I disclose my financial information. I understand some people work on commission, but that kind of approach has no place in a dental office. Visiting the dentist should feel comfortable and professional, not like you’re being pressured into deep cleanings or loans to pay for procedures. A dental office should make patients feel cared for not sold to.

Had a great experience with Dr. Hernandez and all the stuff at PB smile studio. All the staff was super friendly and Dr Hernandez was very informative! Overall, I had a great experience from the moment I was booking my appointment over the phone til I left the office. Found them through Zocdoc and can’t say I’ve had a bad experience from finding any of my care team through that app. 10/10 would recommend.
