I’ve had some bad experiences with dentists in San Diego, but Dr. Hernandez is completely different. He’s honest, never pushy to do treatments, and takes the time to explain everything so you feel comfortable and informed. It feels amazing to finally have a dentist I can really trust and that’s saying a lot because I’ve never liked going to the dentist. 10/10 - Highly recommend.

When I scheduled my appointment over the phone, no one mentioned a $50 deductible. My insurance clearly states zero deductible for both cleanings and X-rays. The doctor was fine, and the girl who did my X-rays was very nice, but the cleaning felt very quick and basic. What really disappointed me was the front desk experience — the staff member was quite stubborn and insisted that I disclose my financial information. I understand some people work on commission, but that kind of approach has no place in a dental office. Visiting the dentist should feel comfortable and professional, not like you’re being pressured into deep cleanings or loans to pay for procedures. A dental office should make patients feel cared for not sold to.

I’ve consistently had excellent experiences with this Dr. Hernandez. The staff is professional, personable, and always make me feel at ease during my visits. They take the time to explain things clearly and provide care that feels both thorough and thoughtful. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality dental care.

I am 56 years old so believe me I have been to several dentist, sadly I have such anxiety going but for the first time Dr. Hernandez & his staff made me feel so comfortable. From being greeted by Leida always with a smile & a bottle of water. then Lawny the dental assistant gentle & kind then to Dr. Hernandez so soft spoken, gentle an expert at his craft FINALLY a dentist I trust! & my anxiety is NOT present during any visit. I have had my share some all about the almighty dollar to unnecesary procedures. the piece I have in my mouth is dreadful I have never had the work Dr Hernandez did in these 2 visits I’m looking forward to my new piece and future veneers because I trust this dentist I pray I never have to look for another dentist. I would recommend Dr. Hernandez 100% Thank you for being so kind, so gentle I am so excited for my new piece & besutiful smile & our future procedures!

Best dentist ever!!! Dr. Hernandez and his team are angels sent straight from the oral hygiene gods. I have pretty bad dentist-related anxiety and hadn't gone in years, so was doubly anxious to book an appointment. Never in my life have I felt so calm and comforted in a dentists office. The atmosphere they create is so calm and welcoming, it honestly feels like a spa for your teeth. The team went above and beyond to sooth any nerves I was feeling (I'm talking weighted blanket, peppermint oil, the whole nine yards). Dr. Hernandez was absolutely wonderful--kind, reassuring, clear on his explanations--and he checked in with me throughout the cleaning and later filling processes. There was no judgement, only solutions. They even let me wear my big noise cancelling headphones which was such a game changer. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, especially if you're anxious about the dentist. Seriously wish I had known about them sooner!
